Close to the beach and its dunes and in the middle of green nature, is leisure park Koningshof in South Holland. For some 60 years, vacationers have known how to find this remarkable place.
New developments at the park
A few years ago, a new centre building was installed at the park, but that did not complete this central area. During the first conversation, it turned out that we shared the same vision, about creating an unique play environment around the park’s centre building.
The task was clear; not only playground equipment had to be installed. The request was to design a lively play area, full of natural elements, so that it could blend in seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
In close consultation with the leisure park, we created a customised design, with two distinctive play zones that blend seamlessly into one another.
Overall, we have created an inspirational natural play area for the Koningshof holiday park, in which their guests can make plenty of great memories.
sign and layout of a natural play area
One play area is suitable for the youngest guests. With a surface of soft wood chips and natural playground equipment, They can play to their heart’s content, while their parents can keep a close eye on them.
The other play area is designed for slightly older children. In the design, we took into account that they need more challenge while playing. Because both play areas are very much intertwined, we chose wooden equipment from our Robinia product line. This equipment is just a little harder to climb, is a little higher and requires a little more of a child’s playing skills, so that older children can also have a great time here.
Greenery
To fence off the play area and make it safer, a green fence has been installed all around. Consisting of a variety of plants and trees, sturdy wooden posts and stylish gabions, this fence is one with the playground.
Moreover, it fits in perfectly with the natural look throughout the park.
