INCLUSIVE PLAY
Play is for everyone, regardless of physical or mental abilities. All children have a fundamental right to play, enshrined in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. In practice, however, this right is hardly met for children with disabilities. And that is not without consequences. It's high time something was done about it!
With our furnishing concept for inclusive play, everyone can participate, young and old, with and without a disability. Because playing & moving together is for everyone!
INCLUSIVE PLAY AND MOVEMENT
Inclusive play is therefore, where possible and desired, woven into the designs of play locations, care gardens and playground equipment. We offer solutions for:
- auditory impairments (stimulation of other senses such as smell & touch through scented plants and educational walls)
- visual impairments (clear use of color in playground equipment and plants, tactile walls, sound instruments)
- cognitive or neurological limitations (sensory rooms, collaborative play)
- physical limitations (including accessible playground equipment, fitness equipment for seniors/wheelchair users)
