Falling is part of the game. Naturally, to prevent is better than to cure. In case one falls anyway, it is important that the surface prevents unnecessary injuries. Safety surfaces beneath Playground equipment must comply with EN 1177 regulations.
BOERplay (playground) equipment is designed in such a way that a grass area often suffices. In addition, there are many other safety surfaces one could use as impact absorbing ground material, such as (coloured) artificial turf or rubber cast floors with playful motifs. Please find below an overview of possible absorbing ground materials. When in doubt, always contact your sales advisor.
Rubber casts floors are made of UV- and ozone resistant material with an EPDM topcoat. Thanks to this top layer, the casting floor is resistant to wear and remains colourfast for a long time. With this material, you can create playful shapes, forms and even include features such as water streams. In addition, cast rubber is resistant to vandalism due to the lack of seams.
Artificial turf
Artificial turf has excellent soil substrate properties and good drainage so (rain)water can quickly be drained off. These turfs come in many colours, shapes and figures.
Tiger mulch
Rubber mulch is a non-slip surface with a natural look. This substrate is made of recycled rubber chips and, when mixed with polyamide, is formed into a solid, flat surface.
