The importance of play
In the early years of life, movement and play are essential elements for children’s healthy development. When little ones can move freely, they explore the world around them in ways that are not only fun, but also fundamental to their growth. Think of their very first steps as a sign of physical development and a bigger world opening up to them. By crawling, walking, running and jumping, they not only develop bones, muscles and a nervous system, but also self-confidence and a sense of independence. These early physical efforts form the basis for a healthy skeleton, strong muscles and good coordination, which is essential for later activities, such as sports and daily movements.
While children are moving and active, they are also developing their brains in extraordinary ways. Play stimulates creativity, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of spatial concepts.
The world of miffy
We design our miffy play equipment with a focus on play value, aimed at promoting motor skills and stimulating the imagination. In this product line, we completely immerse ourselves in the world of Dick Bruna. The original miffy books serve as inspiration, while we stick to the original colour palette. The result is a beautiful product line that brings the magic of miffy to life.
In addition, the play equipment contains tactile elements that stimulate motor skills. Think of a rotating clock, a kitchenette to cook in, a tactile panel or a watering can to water plants. Miffy play equipment is an essential part of our furnishing concept for imaginative play. This concept offers various possibilities for stimulating creative play at play areas, inviting role-play and stimulating the imagination. In this way, the familiar world of miffy comes to life, derived directly from the beloved read-aloud stories.
Play together, grow together
Our product developers were inspired by the books “miffy’s House“, “miffy at the Zoo” and “miffy at the seaside” when developing the new miffy play equipment. Miffy’s recognisable colours, objects and animal friends have been incorporated in these devices.
- The balance course with step shells encourages balance development. Children can cross on their own, but may also use the rope for support.
- The revolving plate is a small toy that provides great fun. Children climb on it, turning first one way and then the other.
- A crocodile dangerous? Not this one! In fact, it has a high petting factor. The scales on its back and the piece of artificial grass on its side invite sensory-motor play.
- Unleash the child’s inner monkey with the climbing equipment.
- Miffy’s playhouse gives a glimpse into the world of miffy and invites children to re-enact everyday things.
