A playground surrounded by greenery
In a quiet neighbourhood on the edge of the Kernstadt Nord district, there is a playground located between calm residential streets where children can play surrounded by nature. The playground is situated in a place that children from the neighbourhood can safely and independently reach without having to cross busy main roads. Unfortunately, the existing equipment at this ideally located spot needed to be replaced. That is why the municipality started an investment programme to modernise and improve local playgrounds. This resulted in a collaboration with us and the creation of a new playground that fits the surroundings perfectly.
Space for adventure and playing together
The municipality of Peine (DE) was looking for playground equipment that would improve the overall quality of the area for families and meet the needs of children. Together with us, the playground was renovated by replacing the old equipment with the Sand World from our Basic Play product line, offering a wide variety of play opportunities. The colours of the equipment also blend naturally with the surrounding trees and greenery. Combined with a double standing seesaw made from naturally shaped Robinia wood, the playground maintains its natural appearance. The seesaw is part of the Adventure Play product line and encourages risky play, helping children to push their boundaries, become more independent and continue developing themselves. These choices were specifically made to stimulate movement, creativity and outdoor play together.
A playground that invites children to play outside again
The result is a renewed playground where children are once again encouraged to play, explore and discover in a natural environment.
