What could be more fun than looking at (wild) animals, enjoying yourself completely between climbing poles, slides, bridges and messing around with sand and water? You will experience both in the Beekse Bergen. In addition to the walking bus or car route, children can also climb and clamber on the playgrounds that have been built between the various animal pastures. And it is even possible to go on an adventure off the beaten track, with the adventure routes! Following on from previous projects, we were allowed to redesign the playgrounds at the Africa Village and at the Kongo restaurant to add even more play value. Quite an adventure!
Play safari style
The playground at the Congo restaurant and the playground at the new Africa village were quickly transformed into adventurous experience squares with imposing towers, bridges and various climbing and climbing equipment. In order to stay in ‘safari’ style and because natural play is an important factor within the playing experience of the Beekse Bergen, natural, wooden and sustainable materials were chosen in particular. A number of elements come from the Adventure Play range of BOERplay. Such as the sand / water world, hexagon swing, pole forest and climbing tower for the little ones. A number of tailor-made elements have also been developed especially for this project. Towers connected by imposing footbridges over the footpath and challenging net courses. A true climbing and scrambling paradise.

Masterplan Play
Client Libéma wanted to optimize the central play areas between the animal pastures. So that the adventure routes that had already been installed and the environment connect seamlessly with the intermediate playgrounds. A master plan was drawn up by BOERplay. With which, spread over 3 years, the plan could be implemented in phases. However, people were so enthusiastic about the plan that it was decided to implement it in one go. The plan also had to be realized before the spring of 2018.
