We had the opportunity to redesign an adventurous play area for Roompot Hunzedal in Borger. This play area consists of two sections: a play island and a playground by the water. Both sections feature brand-new play equipment.
The playground by the water
In the playground by the water, we installed our Yellowstone Climbing Route. This is a combination unit with a natural look that allows for play inside, underneath, and all around it. It is a challenging piece of equipment that offers plenty of opportunities for climbing and scrambling.
Play Island
A real eye-catcher has been installed on the adventurous play island, consisting of no fewer than three tall towers. The tallest tower stands an impressive 6.9 meters high. This multi-play unit offers a wide range of play opportunities.

Striking spatial design
For this design, we opted for a structure with a strong spatial presence along the water, without a specific theme. The various elements spark children’s imaginations, allowing them to invent their own stories while playing. A different story for every child—a unique experience every time.
Reuse of existing play equipment
The existing play equipment on and around the island was gradually replaced with natural play structures. This created a more harmonious look, unifying the play area into a cohesive whole. The removed equipment was assessed, and items still in good condition were reused at other Roompot parks.
