As part of a total plan for meeting, playing & sports for both indoors and outdoors, several locations at Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad have been renovated. This beach resort is located right between the Zeeland polder landscape and the dunes.
Throughout the park, various areas have been set up for optimal play and exercise fun for both children and their (grand)parents.

Master plan
The park has a luxurious and natural look with beautiful holiday homes to match. The play and exercise areas that are spread throughout the park must also comply to this. The focus in the design was therefore on natural and adventurous play. Each location is unique and forms part of the total plan, which BOERplay worked out together with the customer and implemented in phases.
Play adventure both indoors and outdoors!
For the new central building, which opened its doors in 2020, both the inside and the outside have been set up as a play location. A huge wooden play ship and outdoor stage are located at the entrance where children can play while having a snack or drink on the terrace. The stage serves as a place where various entertainment activities take place. 
Inside the building we have also realized a complete playground, with an indoor stage. The central building is the beating heart of the park and, with its outdoor and indoor facilities, has everything it takes to entertain visitors for a long time!
Play areas
For the park we have provided various separate play areas throughout the park. In 2018 we already started with the realization of separate play areas, after which it was the turn of the central play facilities in 2020. The most recent adjustments were completed in October 2022. 
The areas are decorated in a varied way with a diversity of play values for young and old. This way there is a suitable place for everyone where play adventures can be experienced. By designing each place differently, children will not get bored of the range of play, and offer sufficient variety spread throughout the park.
Materials
For the separate play areas, the main choice was made for play equipment from our Basic Play range, made in hardwood. 
Play structures from our Adventure Play-Explore program have also been used. A nuance has been applied for each play location, such as a play ship, a wobbly bridge or spider stones each combined with a bird’s nest swing and sturdy seating furniture. The large play ship at the entrance and the indoor playground are made of sustainable FSC®-certified Robinia wood. A varied layout, with naturally challenging and adventurous play elements.
Phased plan and customization
The play locations were executed and delivered in several phases. Customization has been applied for the indoor playground, the large play ship and various separate play areas; as a result, a suitable interpretation has been created for each location and the children can enjoy and play to their heart’s content at this beautiful holiday park.
