At the end of 2023, the municipality of Schlangen asked us to design a new playground for the “In der Rothe” area in the Kohlstädt neighborhood. The playground had been unused for over 20 years, but with BOERplay’s help, it has been revitalized. It is now a vibrant meeting place for children of all ages.
Sustainable play equipment
In December 2023, our consultant Sebastian Bonus worked on-site with Boris Gotmann, who is responsible for the playgrounds in Schlangen, to develop a play concept that fit the available budget. For the sustainable redevelopment of the playground, we chose equipment made from recycled plastic. This material is low-maintenance and an environmentally conscious choice. The equipment can be installed without concrete, providing flexibility and a natural appearance. The play structures come from our Basic Play product line.
Festive opening
The official opening of the new playground, attended by mayor Marcus Püster and many enthusiastic local residents, was a great success. Children were immediately able to enjoy the new play structures, including a large play combination where they can climb, slide, and balance.
After 20 years, the playground in Kohlstädt has once again become a place where children can play happily. With sustainable equipment, the playground is environmentally friendly and a valuable addition to the community.
