At the recreation exhibition in Hardenberg (NL), Remco van de Berg, one of our sales consultants, came into contact with Henri, the owner of Hotel and restaurant De Zwammenberg in De Moer. They talked about Henri’s dream: to create a playground that is fun for children of all ages. Remco talks about the collaboration and the end result.
Teamwork
“After an inspiring conversation at the exhibition, Henri and I scheduled a meeting. The playground had to be a real eye-catcher, visible from the road and, above all, a source of a wide range of playfun for the guests of Henri’s restaurant.”
It had to be a place where children could climb, clamber, balance, play with sand and develop socially during role-playing games. One element could not be missing: a bouncy cushion, preferably a red one with white polka dots.
“Together we went through all the details and asked if they could do some preparatory work themselves to keep the cost slightly lower. And that turned out to be possible! In the end, we created the design. After which our team focused on the playground equipment and Henri concentrated on the willow tunnel, paths and planting.”
A playfun paradise
Now a year later, we can proudly say that we have realised Henri’s wish. It was a pleasant collaboration, resulting in a fantastic final product. If you approach the restaurant now, you can’t miss it. The playground equipment is clearly visible from the road. Children are running around, laughing and having the time of their lives. It is not just any playground it has become; it is a playfun paradise.
