Some holiday play areas aren’t designed at a drawing board but are born from a shared dream. At Camping Wedderbergen, you’ll find such a place: Natuurlijk Wedderbergen, a unique play landscape where water, nature, and play come together in an experience you won’t find anywhere else.
The idea was born when Carine, owner of Camping Wedderbergen, visited Camping Geuldal with her father. There, they saw a natural play concept that deeply inspired them. But Carine and her father dreamed big: a play landscape with the largest water creek on any campsite in the Netherlands – woven into the camping experience and perfectly in line with their vision of hospitality and outdoor living.
Together, they shaped that dream. Her father was closely involved in the planning and personally oversaw every detail during its realisation. What began as inspiration grew into a unique destination where families can play, relax, and enjoy themselves in a living natural environment.
BOERplay had the opportunity to translate this special idea into a powerful design and bring it to life. In collaboration with experienced infrastructure partner Van de Beeten, the site was carefully developed – with attention to natural shapes, water flow, sustainability, and child-friendliness.
