Discover, Connect, and Experience
For the first time, we were given the opportunity to design a play area in Overijse. The goal was clear: to create a place where children can meet, discover, and learn through play in their own way.
The play area is used by both the local youth organisation and the school, making it a meeting point for different age groups. We chose equipment that encourages curiosity and interaction: a magnifying glass to explore the smallest details of nature, stones to climb on or sit on, a basket swing, and a toddler swing to enjoy together and develop social skills.
Play is more than just fun. It helps children develop motor skills, stimulates their creativity, and teaches them to cooperate and understand one another. This play area in Overijse has therefore been designed with a focus on both adventure and education, enabling children to learn about themselves and their surroundings through play.
