Boer playground equipment is a leading party in designing, producing, supplying and assemblage of playground equipment, sports equipment, water slides and street furniture for public spaces.
It is therefore a matter of principles for Boer Playground Equipment to always strive for sustainability and corporate responsibility. This becomes apparent in the choices we make regarding the environmental and social aspects of life.
The social aspect
Boer Playground Equipment offers its over 100 employees a corporate environment in which they can work safely, responsibly and healthily. In addition to this, we offer a chance to those with physical or mental limitations, or to those for whom returning to everyday society is difficult. We give this people an opportunity to further develop themselves and show willingness to help the community.
Boer Playground Equipment denounces the use of forced labour and child labour. We work with several Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and municipalities to teach children how they can protect their environment and planet, or the social situation of other children less fortunate.
The environmental aspect
BOER Playground Equipment uses materials that are technologically or biologically recyclable. Especially regarding the materials that are technologically recycled, BOER has a long history in the use of recycled materials and recycling its own waste produce. For example, we have been using recycled synthetic material (post-consumer recycled for the poles and pre-consumer recycled for panels) as a base for our playground equipment since 1980. BOER Playground Equipment also uses certified FSC hardwood for all wooden equipment. We utilize our recycling plan for the following goals: minimizing our waste produce, maximizing the recycling process of said waste and the use of as many durable and sustainable materials as possible.
BOER Playground Equipment meets and supports all sustainability requirements set by SenterNovem for procurement, to which the Dutch government, municipalities and provinces have committed themselves to since the 1st of January 2010.
BOER prefers to work with clients and suppliers that support corporate social responsibility and sustainable entrepreneurship. When doing so we often reduce the load on the environment by supporting and encouraging the use of local labor.
