History

BOER Playground equipment was erected in 1961 and has since grown to be a leading manufacturer of playground equipment, sports equipment, street furniture, water slides and themed furnishing. All of our products are designed, produced and installed from our own combined sales and production, both located in Nieuwendijk, where it has been since its earliest days.

In 1971 the Aluminum Processing Industry (AVI) was adapted by BOER. From this time onwards we were able to add aluminum sports and playground equipment to our existing repertoire of polyester playground equipment and planters.

1980 was the first year in which recycled synthetic materials were introduced in BOER’s production process. They were first only presented as alternatives to existing playground equipment.

In 1982 the production of waterslides began. Since then, BOER has realized over 20 kilometers of waterslide for customers all over the world.

In 2005 GM Decor from Werkendam was added to the company. GM Decor specifically does themed furnishings for theme parks. GM Decor and BOER often collaborate to create unique themed playground equipment.

In 2007 BOER switched to a different owner and began further expanding and modernizing the company.

In 2009 Speelwijzer from Nederhemert was taken over by mother company of BOER Playground equipment. Around the end of 2009 both companies fused and the new organization has taken shape during 2010. This has lead to a stronger market position with a broad collection of products and high level of service.
